The Sky is the Limit.

Well, open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn, you're free.
Look into your heart and you'll find that the sky is yours.
Please don't, please don't, please don't...
There's no need to complicate
'Cause our time is short.

FINALLY! i was able to go to wonderland this saturday with a couple friends :) and this time i was determined to take a picture of us while we were on every single ride we rode!

amazing how i never dropped my camera, eh? :)

so.. i DID manage to snap a picture on most of the rides. although i failed at the italian job one.. and my camera's battery power was really low at the end of the day :\. and we didn't really end up going on that many rides anyways, ended up walking around and playing random arcade games and eating and whatnot most of the time :P. soo i guess i'll just have to continue this project next time! loll.

picture that i took while riding on windseeker! i thought this ride was going to be the most amazing one ever since it looked like my favourite childhood one.. you know, the one where you sit in these super long swings and they swing you around like a merry-go-round :D.. but windseeker is simply what the name implies. all you get is wind.. and a real-life map of wonderland haha. a nice break, though.

and ooh, this is a picture of Starlight Spectacular! sadly, i didn't have my dslr so the pictures aren't that great (and my battery was low so i couldn't film it).. but basically, it's this light show that wonderland put on for its 30th anniversary. SO nice. the lights and fountains danced with the music that was playing, and the mountain became so colourful at one point :P.

so yeah, that's how our day turned out :). ps if you ever feel like going to wonderland, take the GO bus there! SO much faster and only like $1 more than TTC loll. unless you love waking up early in the morning :P.

Universal Studios: FamJam!

I know why families were created
with all their imperfections: they humanize you.
They are made to make you forget yourself occasionally,
so that the beautiful balance of life is not destroyed.

well i'm just a little late on these posts.. :). but yes, these were taken when we were in florida, so they goes with my last post from there loll. anyhow, i don't feel like posting many pictures from this now.. since it happened such a long time ago :/. but here's a few!

of course, note that the picture with my brother and i may be misleading. i am soo not that short, really :D. moving on, there weren't many exciting roller coaster rides there.. but the simpsons ride was awesome! or at least i didn't expect a 4D ride to be that good :)..

ps. universal studios is a really colourful place, they had lots of these little carts selling blown glass and whatnot :). oh, and of course i have to include at least 1 picture from their parade..even though i'm not really a fan of parades, loll.

ooh and the sunset over there is amazing. we were just walking by this lake, and i had to take a quick snapshot..or two :).

and to end off the day - A HUGE CHRISTMAS TREE! which is not so exciting now since it's, well, summer. but in december it's awesome :)!

Florida: Warmth, Please?

A mountain is composed of tiny grains of earth.
The ocean is made up of tiny drops of water.
Even so, life is but an endless series
of little details, actions, speeches, and thoughts..
And the consequences, whether good or bad,
of even the least of them are far-reaching.

ahh, feels like i haven't posted in forever and a day :\ well, i asked my dad for his extra CF card reader to just use around the house, so at least i can upload photos for now :). anyways, almost right after my exams, we set out for Florida! and here's a collection of pictures to sum up our journey!..

at our awesome airport... then straight to Orlando!

of course i had to take a picture of at least one random plant :P ..although i didn't take out my telephoto lens this time :(. anyways, we went to Universal Studios first, but i'll post those pictures another day :). moving along, to Cocoa Beach!

..had to take a picture of our shadows :P. and did i mention we saw one of those huge birds? you know, the kind of bird whose name is yet to be known to me :\ loll. pretty cool that it didn't fly away when i kept stepping a bit closer :).

yes, it was also quite chilly in Florida when we were there.. strange, eh? and to think I missed having snow on Christmas day and it was still cold! >:( this weird weather needs to stop :(.

clearly, photographers of the fam = my dad and i :) ..although he won't let me use his camera for an extended period of time :(. but it's alright. one day, i'll finally get a job and be able to buy myself a new lens and body (y). but for now, this one works, and takes pretty awesome sunset photos too :)!

doesn't nature just leave you in awe sometimes? ♥.

What's Up, New York?

Every great dream begins with a dreamer.
Always remember, you have within you
The strength, the patience, and the passion
To reach for the stars to change the world.

well i've posted these pictures rather late.. but at least i got to them :). we didn't spend a lot of time in New York, so it was mostly sightseeing and visiting all the major landmarks - sadly, not much shopping :(. but it's alright, i got quite a bit of exercise? hahah. well here's where our trip began - at Queen's, NY [i.e. our hotel].

most of the time, we used the subway to travel around NY (since we lived right beside the station anyways :D).

of course, times square was the first place we stopped at. oh, and ps: you know you're in new york when 99% of the vehicles on the road are taxis, lol :).

next stops: Rockefeller Centre, St. Paul's Cathedral, United Nations Building, Grand Central Terminal, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty!

we took the ferry to get a close up of the statue. and wow were there soo many people! almost took us half the day for the full ride since people kept getting on and off the different islands :\.

other places we visited included the 9/11 Memorial Site, Wall Street, and Pier 16.

oh, and can't forget my pictures taken on our subway ride to times square! ..lots of construction and graffiti going around :P..

lastly, here's a couple pictures of random things we crossed by :).
