[September 1-15]

One of the most tragic things I know about human nature
Is that all of us tend to put off living.
We're all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon -
Instead of enjoying the roses
That are blooming outside our windows today.

Day o58. September 1, 2010

we were just randomly sitting down on the upper floor at fairview mall one time, and i decided to take out my camera and just capture a picture of the railings - and i think it turned out pretty cool with all the different lights in the background (i.e. lower level).

What's Up, New York?

Every great dream begins with a dreamer.
Always remember, you have within you
The strength, the patience, and the passion
To reach for the stars to change the world.

well i've posted these pictures rather late.. but at least i got to them :). we didn't spend a lot of time in New York, so it was mostly sightseeing and visiting all the major landmarks - sadly, not much shopping :(. but it's alright, i got quite a bit of exercise? hahah. well here's where our trip began - at Queen's, NY [i.e. our hotel].

most of the time, we used the subway to travel around NY (since we lived right beside the station anyways :D).

of course, times square was the first place we stopped at. oh, and ps: you know you're in new york when 99% of the vehicles on the road are taxis, lol :).

next stops: Rockefeller Centre, St. Paul's Cathedral, United Nations Building, Grand Central Terminal, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty!

we took the ferry to get a close up of the statue. and wow were there soo many people! almost took us half the day for the full ride since people kept getting on and off the different islands :\.

other places we visited included the 9/11 Memorial Site, Wall Street, and Pier 16.

oh, and can't forget my pictures taken on our subway ride to times square! ..lots of construction and graffiti going around :P..

lastly, here's a couple pictures of random things we crossed by :).
